Common questions before buying

Quick answers to what parents ask most before their purchase.

Q.
What if I'm not tech savvy at all?
The Blueprint gives you step-by-step guidance. The lessons are self-explanatory, and if you get stuck, Blueprint AI helps you know what to do next. No tech background required.
Q.
Will this work with my router brand?
Yes - works with most routers (Spectrum, Xfinity, AT&T, Verizon, Google Nest, Eero, Netgear, ASUS, and more). Some ISP routers don't let you change certain settings - in that case you'll need an aftermarket router, which is pretty inexpensive ($60-$120) and easy to get from Amazon. We recommend the best ones inside the Blueprint.
Q.
What if my child uses cellular data or a hotspot?
Layer 2 locks down the phone itself, so cellular and hotspots are covered.
Q.
Can I block YouTube, TikTok, or proxy sites?
Yes. Layer 3 handles VPNs, proxy sites, and app-level blocks.
Q.
My ISP router doesn't let me change DNS. Will the Blueprint still work?
Yes - and this is exactly why the Blueprint has three layers, not just one. Most ISP routers (Spectrum, Xfinity, AT&T) restrict DNS changes, but they still have built-in parental controls, device blocking, and schedule features that Layer 1 walks you through. Layers 2 and 3 work on the phones, TVs, and apps themselves - no router needed. If you want more router control, we'll also recommend affordable aftermarket routers ($60-$120) that unlock the full toolkit. Blueprint AI helps you figure out what your specific router can and can't do.
Q.
What do I get for $97?
Full Blueprint (3 layers), Blueprint AI, email support, free updates. One payment. Lifetime access. No subscription.
